The Free School Path.
Two ways. You choose.
Already learning freely and want a recognized diploma? Or do you want to learn at home — but with structure, mentors, and other families? You'll find both here.
High school diploma
Learn freely — and end up with an internationally recognized high school diploma. According to Horizon Academy, recognized in 90 countries.

- In Germany: only individually, after a situation check
Online school
Homeschooling with structure: the pure online school of Horizon Online School — fixed times, small groups, mentors who know every child.
- Fixed times: Mon–Thu, 10am–1pm
- Small groups, connection to other families
- For everyone who wants to learn at home
We're an independent sales partner and work closely with Horizon Academy and Horizon Online School — we're not part of the companies themselves.
Which way fits your family?
You already learn freely — or travel a lot
You need a recognized diploma that fits your life — without the classic school routine and without having to switch to homeschooling.
You want to learn at home — but not alone
You want homeschooling with fixed times, small groups, and mentors, so that not everything rests on you.
School means pressure for many families. It doesn't have to.
Rigid curriculum
Every child learns differently, at their own pace — a fixed schedule often doesn't fit.
Compulsory education
Free learning and compulsory education seem to contradict each other — they don't have to.
No diploma without school?
A recognized diploma is possible even without the traditional school path.
Why Horizon Academy exists
Horizon Academy came about because someone felt firsthand what it's like when a system just doesn't fit. Founder Philipp Bolz realized early on: school can work differently — freer, more personal, closer to what a child can actually do and wants to do. That experience became an idea, and the idea became a path: families should be able to learn freely, without ending up without a diploma.
This path is supported by experienced professionals who know exactly how it works and how holistic learning really pays off over the years — and by Elia Stein, who grew up as an unschooler themself and now writes about how well this path actually works.
Education is not the filling of a pail, but the lighting of a fire.
