The party responsible for data processing on this site is the entity named in the Imprint (referred to below as “we”).

What this site does
This site advertises and refers prospective families to the education offerings of Horizon Academy (Freies Lernen FZ-LLC, Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates). We act as an independent sales partner in cooperation with Horizon Academy and are not part of the company itself.

1. Contact forms
If you fill in a form on this site, your details (name, email, optionally destination country, children's ages, or your message) are emailed to us and automatically answered with a confirmation to you.

2. Scheduling via Calendly
To book a consultation, we link to Calendly (provider: Calendly LLC, USA). This involves a data transfer to the USA, a country without an EU adequacy decision; Calendly relies on appropriate safeguards (including standard contractual clauses). Calendly's own privacy policy also applies.

3. Consultation via Zoom
We hold the booked consultation via Zoom (provider: Zoom Communications, Inc., USA), processing name, email, and audio/video data during the call. Zoom offers contractual safeguards for the resulting US data transfer. Zoom's own privacy policy also applies.

4. Event sign-up via Netlify
To register for our free online info evening (Horizon Academy) or for the online school (Horizon Online School), we link to separate sign-up pages hosted by Netlify, Inc. (USA). Visiting and submitting the forms on these pages means your details (name, email) and technical access data are processed by Netlify. This involves a data transfer to the USA; Netlify relies on appropriate safeguards (including standard contractual clauses). Netlify's own privacy policy also applies.

5. Disclosure to Horizon Academy (third-country transfer, UAE)
If you decide to enroll, we pass on the required details to Horizon Academy (Freies Lernen FZ-LLC) in Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates. The UAE is a third country without an EU adequacy decision. This transfer relies solely on your explicit consent (Art. 49(1)(a) GDPR).

Legal basis
All processing above is based on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR); disclosure to Horizon Academy additionally on Art. 49(1)(a) GDPR. You may withdraw consent at any time.

Retention period
Your details are deleted once no longer needed, at the latest after the consultation is completed/cancelled or upon withdrawal of consent.

Embedded YouTube videos
On some pages we embed webinar recordings from YouTube. We use the privacy-enhanced embed (youtube-nocookie.com) and only load the video once you click play. Only then is a connection to YouTube (Google Ireland Limited, Ireland, or Google LLC, USA) established, and data such as your IP address and device information are transmitted. A transfer to the USA is possible. The legal basis is your consent through the click (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Google's privacy policy also applies.

Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify, erase, and restrict processing of your data, and to withdraw consent at any time. You may lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
